Just because executives of certain companies do not come in contact with children or mental health patients does not preclude them from undergoing Department of Children & Families fingerprinting. The law also requires “owners, directors and chief financial officers of service providers” to be screened as well. In addition, they are also responsible for ensuring that all service providers who do have direct contact with children or mentally handicapped clients undergo the required screening before being hired.
